Notice of Funding Opportunity:
VHDA Habitat Build Grant
November 2018
Funding Purpose:
Since 1993, VHDA has hosted the Don Ritenour Charity Golf Classic. Funds raised during the event are used in part to assist a Habitat for Humanity affiliate in its work to eliminate substandard housing by building homes and communities. In addition, VHDA will use REACH Virginia (Resources Enabling Affordable Community Housing in Virginia) funds to award a Habitat affiliate based on the support of its Facebook Awareness Campaign during Homeownership month. This is a multifaceted resource that VHDA uses to support vital housing initiatives through our Homeownership, Rental and Community Outreach programs.
The VHDA Habitat Build Grant is used to assist two Habitat for Humanity affiliates in the construction, rehabilitation, and/or preservation of a single-family home designated to assist a partner family in the improvement of their shelter conditions.
