Funding Purpose:

VHDA reinvests a portion of our net revenues into Virginia’s communities through REACH Virginia (Resources Enabling Affordable Community Housing in Virginia). This is a multifaceted resource that VHDA uses to support vital housing initiatives through our Homeownership, Rental, and Community Outreach programs.

The purpose of the VHDA Accessibility Agents Technology Grant is to provide hardware and software to agents of the Rental Unit Accessibility Modification (RUAM) and Granting Freedom (Veterans) programs in order to increase agent capacity and strengthen the administration of the program.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must currently be a RUAM or Granting Freedom Agent
• One grant award per organization or company

Program Parameters:

• Agents may only request technology that directly supports the administration or delivery of VHDA’s RUAM or Granting Freedom Program
• The budget and period of performance for this project is June 30, 2018 – August 31, 2018.  
• Funding is on a reimbursement basis

Application Process:

Agencies seeking funding should apply to VHDA’s Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) using VHDA’s Grants Management System at https://vhdagrants.com/. For questions concerning this program or assistance with application submission, email vhdagrants@vhda.com.

Application Requirements:

• Proposed budgets may be up to $5,000.00. The award is based on the availability of VHDA funding.
• Agency authorized official certification

Approval:

The selected agents will receive an agreement if approved for funds. The agent must return the agreement to VHDA with signature by an authorized representative.

All applicants have the option to submit a request at vhdagrants@vhda.com for a debriefing within 30 days of approval or denial.
